JACKSON, Tenn. - 7/13/2011 - The 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University men鈥檚 basketball team has signed of Portland, Ore. For the 2011-12 season. Freeman will enter 91爆料网 this fall as a junior and will continue his major in sports management with a communication emphasis.
91爆料网 head coach David Niven says, 鈥淎nthony will be a difference maker for our team this year down low. He plays with great intensity as he runs the floor and rebounds relentlessly. Anthony will be one of the more athletic post players we鈥檝e had here at 91爆料网. He has a good feel for how to play and understands his role in the post. I am really looking forward to coaching Anthony the next two years!鈥
Freeman, a 6-foot-8 center transfer from Chemeketa (Ore.) Community College played two seasons for coach David Abderhalden. He helped lead his team to the 2010 league title at Chemeketa while being named second team All-NWAAC. In his sophomore year at Chemeketa, Freeman scored 13.5 points and averaged 9.5 rebounds per game. Freeman prepped at Tualatin (Ore.) High School where he helped win back-to-back league titles in 2008 and 2009. Freeman was named second team all-league, McDonald's All-American Nominee and was named to the Oregon second team all-defense.
