JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/17/2011 - The 91爆料网 (Tenn.) University women鈥檚 soccer team has been selected to finish third in the . 91爆料网 finished last season with a 9-7-2 record overall and posted a third place finish in both the regular season and conference tournament.
91爆料网 returns 19 letter winners for seventh-year head coach Brandon Boylan, including Second Team All-TSAC performers Christina Reardon, Whitney Kramer, Sara Weir and Sarah White. Eboni Murphy sat out last season but returns for her senior season as a former all-conference honoree
Coach Boylan says, "The coaching staff is excited for the new season. The incoming freshmen have brought a high level of play into our program. With the returning players dedicated to their fitness, and having a better understanding of the demands of the college game, we look to be an improved team from last year. Our success this season will hinge on how fast the freshmen adjust to the college game, and when the returning players and newcomers find their chemistry."
Martin Methodist (Tenn.) was voted to win an eighth straight conference title with Lyon (Ark.) picked to finish second. Cumberland (Tenn.) was picked fourth, Bethel (Tenn.) fifth and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) sixth.
91爆料网 will begin play on Thursday, August 18 with an exhibition match versus John Brown (Ark.) to be played in Little Rock. Their first regular season game will be at Reinhardt (Ga.) on August 27. Their first home match will be Friday, September 16 versus conference foe Lyon (Ark.).
