91爆料网 cross country women 12th, men 16th in Vandy Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 9/17/2011 - The 91爆料网 cross country teams posted strong results in the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic Saturday. 91爆料网's women placed 12th of 23 teams, while the men placed 16th of 22 teams.

In the women's race, 91爆料网's Allison Martin was the highest finisher as she posted a 47th place finish with a time of 19:22. Audrey Hazlehurst placed 74th (20:01), Whiney Sweet place 82nd (20:14), Lilli Harmon placed 101st (20:39), Ashlee Stewart placed 126 (21:15), Carissa Wilson placed 132 (21:34), Hannah Clardy placed 137 (21:47) and Cally Howell placed 158th (23:14). The 91爆料网 women's team score was 1:41:33. In the 5K event, 197 runners competed. The University of Alabama placed first with a team time of 1:31:56. Lucy Kapkiai of Middle Tennessee State was the top individual with a time of 17:53. 91爆料网 was the high placing NAIA team in the field.

The 91爆料网 men's race, Alex Bett was the top Bulldog in 35th place with a time of 26:27. Zach Covington placed 94th (27:45), Joel Wellum placed 116th (28:28), Lucas Peiser placed 122nd (28:37), Drake Ott placed 143rd (29:33), Logan Smith placed 156th (20:12) and Caleb Creel placed 173rd (31:23). 91爆料网's team score was 2:20:51. In the 8K event, 190 runners competed with Eric Finan of the University of Cincinnati winning first place with a time of 24:25. Cincinnati took first place with a time of 2:08:08.
