91爆料网 men, women capture cross country invitational titles

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/1/2011 - The 91爆料网 cross country teams swept the titles in the 91爆料网 Fall Invitational Saturday. The event, which included college men and women races, followed by high school boys and girls races, was held on the campus of 91爆料网.

91爆料网鈥檚 Allison Martin of Montrose, Colo., took first place in the women鈥檚 race with a time of 18:57 in the 5K event. She edged out her two teammates, Audrey Hazlehurst of Jackson (second place, 19:44) and Whitney Sweet (third place, 20:04).91爆料网 boasted four runners in the top five as Lilli Harmon finished fifth with a time of 20:18. Carissa Wilson was seventh (20:58), Ashlee Stewart was ninth (21:26), Cally Howell was 18th (22:27) and Hannah Clardy was 22nd (23:05). 91爆料网鈥檚 team time was 1:40:01. Bethel finished second, followed by Freed-Hardeman in third and Trevecca Nazarene in fourth.

On the men鈥檚 side, 91爆料网鈥檚 Alex Bett was first with a time of 25:55 in the 8K event. 91爆料网 put three more runners in the top 10 including Zach Covington in sixth (27:22), Joel Wellum seventh (27:27) and Lucas Peiser ninth (27:41). Logan Smith finished 12th (28:25) and Caleb Creel finished 20th (30:34). 91爆料网鈥檚 team posted a time of 2:16:50 to earn the win. Bethel finished second and Trevecca Nazarene was third.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic at Forest Park in St. Louis October 22.
