91爆料网 women鈥檚 soccer gets 2-0 shutout at Freed-Hardeman

HENDERSON, Tenn. - 10/4/2011 - The 91爆料网 women鈥檚 soccer team earned a 2-0 shutout victory at Freed-Hardeman University Tuesday night. 91爆料网 improved to 6-2-1 on the season and 2-0 in the TranSouth. Freed-Hardeman dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in league play.

91爆料网 scored first with a goal late in the first half. Eliza Clark found the back of the net on the assists from Sara Weir and Alex Taylor three minutes left to play in the half. That 1-0 lead remained until 91爆料网 was given a second goal on an own goal from Freed-Hardeman in the 59th minute of play.

91爆料网 outshot Freed-Hardeman 16-7 in the match, including 4-2 in shot on goal. 91爆料网 goalie Emily Warren earned the shutout victory with two saves in her 90 minutes of work. Abbie Adkins of FHU tallied three saves and allowed both goals in her night of work.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be a tough road contest at No. 6 Martin Methodist on Tuesday, October 11 at 5:00 p.m.
