91±¬ÁÏÍø volleyball season ends with semifinal loss

PULASKI, Tenn. - 11/9/2011 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø volleyball team lost to Freed-Hardeman University 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-12) in the semifinals of the 2011 TranSouth Conference Championships. Third seeded 91±¬ÁÏÍø ends their season at 15-21, while second-seeded Freed-Hardeman improved to 25-8.

91±¬ÁÏÍø was led by TranSouth Freshman of the Year and all-conference performer Savannah Hughes with 11 kills. Senior all-conference setter Emmie Moroski dished out 21 assists, Lydia Wright led with 12 digs, and all-conference senior Anna Sims led with three blocks. Sims extended her 91±¬ÁÏÍø record for career blocks to a final total of 568.

Freed-Hardeman was led by Fernanda Ferreira with 11 kills and Sandra Montoya with 10 kills. Renata Ferreira and Amber Turner led with 21 and 17 assists respectively. Montoya led with 16 digs while Nataly Guierrez and Sydney Rice led with three blocks each.
