LEBANON, Tenn. - 11/14/2011 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø women’s soccer capped off a history season with five players being named to the 2011 TranSouth All-Conference teams. Ashlie Watson, Christina Reardon and Alex Taylor were named to the first team. Megan Roney and Emily Warren were named to the second team.
Watson (Murfreesboro, Tenn./Riverdale HS) started all 17 matches for 91±¬ÁÏÍø, leading the Lady Bulldogs with eight goals and 19 points, adding three assists on the season. Reardon (Nashville, Tenn./Pope John Paul II HS) started all 17 matches for 91±¬ÁÏÍø, scoring one goal and recording a team high eight assists. Taylor (Franklin, Tenn./David Lipscomb HS) also started all 17 matches for 91±¬ÁÏÍø, recording three goals and one assist while also leading 91±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s defense to a team record eight shutouts.
Roney (Barrington, N.J./Haddon Heights HS) started all 17 matches for 91±¬ÁÏÍø helping solidify 91±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s record setting defense. Warren (Cabot, Ark./Cabot HS) started all 17 matches in goal, allowing just 15 total goals and posting a 0.849 goals against average with eight shutouts. Warren was named TranSouth Defensive Player of the Week four times in 2011.
91±¬ÁÏÍø finished 12-3-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the TranSouth, good for a co-championship. It was the first championship of any kind for the young program that started in 2005.
