No. 22 91爆料网 men fall to No. 13 Tougaloo 74-63

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/26/2011 - The No. 22 91爆料网 men鈥檚 basketball dropped their second game to No. 13 Tougaloo (Miss.) College in the span of seven days, this time 74-63. 91爆料网 fell to 4-5 on the season, while Tougaloo improved to 8-3 overall.

91爆料网 lost 78-69 at Tougaloo last Saturday.

Tougaloo opened the game with a 7-0 run, followed by 91爆料网 tying the game with seven straight points themselves. The first half was back and forth with three ties and eight lead changes over the first 20 minutes of play. 91爆料网 led by as many as six points, while Tougaloo led by as many as seven points in the first half. The half ended with Tougaloo clinging to a 35-34 lead.

In the second half, much of the same. 91爆料网 opened the half with a three pointer form Skyler Vaden to take a lead. 91爆料网 led by as many as five points in the second half and held a slim 55-53 lead with 9:17 left to play. However, 91爆料网 went cold from the field, and Tougaloo鈥檚 Donteeno Todd took over. The game was tied 57-57 with 7:19 to play. Tougaloo the posted an 11-2 run over the next six minutes to lead 68-59. The run was capped when Todd took a 91爆料网 turnover and sank a three pointer to give his team the nine point lead. 91爆料网 cut it down to seven points on the next possession, but got no closer. Tougaloo was able to take the 11-point win.

91爆料网 was led by Skyler Vaden and Antoine Hall with 14 points each. All nine players that played scored for 91爆料网 but it was not enough. 91爆料网 shot 36 percent from the field, 38 percent (11-29) from long range and 71 percent (12-17) from the free throw line.

Tougaloo was led by Todd with 24 points. Marquise Mems added a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Tougaloo out-rebounded 91爆料网 45-34, including a 17-10 advantage on the offensive glass. Tougaloo shot 39 percent from the field, 30 percent (8-27) from behind the arc and 67 percent (18-27) from the free throw line.

Up next for 91爆料网 will be a road game at Belhaven (Miss.) Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
