Jackson, Tenn. - 7/9/2003 - Only weeks removed from the finals games of the 2002-03 athletic season, 91爆料网 releases the athletic schedules for the four sports coming up in the fall of 2003. Women鈥檚 volleyball and men鈥檚 soccer will begin in late August with men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 cross country beginning in mid September.
Soccer is the first out of the chute with their 2003 season opener coming on the road August 25 at Ouachita Baptist College. The home opener for the Bulldogs will be September 5 and 6 as they host the Casey Jones Village Classic with Lambuth, Fisk University, and Brewton-Parker. 91爆料网 soccer finished sixth in the TranSouth Conference in 2003 with an overall record of 12-10-1 and a 3-4 league mark. 91爆料网 has also won three NCCAA MidEast Region Championships (1999, 2000, and 2002) and has appeared in three NCCAA national tournaments.
Volleyball also begins play on the road in the John Brown University Tournament in Arkansas on August 29 and 30. The Lady Bulldogs home opener will be September 5 and 6 as they host the 91爆料网 Invitational. In 2002, 91爆料网 (26-13/7-5) finished in a tie for second place in the TranSouth Conference and made their fifth straight NAIA Region Tournament appearance. The Lady Bulldogs have participated in NAIA post season play in each of the five years of varsity play. 91爆料网 has also won five straight NCCAA MidEast Region Championships and participated in five NCCAA national tournaments including a runner-up finish in 2001.
Cross Country is the newest sport at 91爆料网. The women鈥檚 program starting their fourth season and the men鈥檚 program beginning their third season. In 2002, the Bulldogs finished second in the TranSouth Conference for the second straight season. The Lady Bulldogs posted a third place finish in the conference.
