KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 5/22/2012 - The NAIA has announced that 308 softball student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. 91±¬ÁÏÍø had five players to make the grade including Ali Bozza, Sam Giesler, Caroline George, Keaton Kirk and Brooke Thomas.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
91±¬ÁÏÍø is coming off their best season since 2002 when the team was 51-7. 91±¬ÁÏÍø finished 2012 with a 46-12 record. They won the TranSouth regular season and tournament titles, while advancing to the NAIA Softball National Championships.
