Four Top 10 Teams Set to Battle
91±¬ÁÏÍø is this year's site for the Rotary Classic. The Rotary Classic annually features some of the NAIA's top teams. Included amoung those teams are No. 3 91±¬ÁÏÍø, No. 10 Freed-Hardeman University, and Lambuth University. These local NAIA powers will be facing off against two of the premier teams in the NAIA, No. 2 Southern Nazarene and No. 9 Oklahoma Baptist University.
Four of the five teams in this tournament are ranked in the Top 10 of the . Highlighting the tournament could be the final game on Saturday night as No. 3 91±¬ÁÏÍø and No. 2 Southern Nazarene, the defending NAIA National Champion, will battle. 91±¬ÁÏÍø and Southern Nazarene met in the 1998 NAIA National Championship Game in which 91±¬ÁÏÍø won 73-70 to capture their first national title. That win ended Southern Nazarene's streak of four national titles in a row. Since that game, 91±¬ÁÏÍø and Southern Nazarene have met three times with 91±¬ÁÏÍø winning the past two. This will certainly be a national tournament type atmosphere in earlier December.
