ORLANDO, Fla. - 11/26/2003 - Four 91±¬ÁÏÍø soccer players earned honors following 91±¬ÁÏÍø's first ever (NCCAA) Soccer National Championship. Senior Kekec Zivkovic was named the national tournament MVP. Kyle McDiarmid and Marko Pavlovic were named to the All-Tournament defensive team. Fabio Buarque and Zivkovic were named to the All-Tournament team as midfielders.
, a senior from Yugoslavia, has been a four-year starter for the Bulldogs. On the season, Zivkovic played in 20 of 91±¬ÁÏÍø's 21 total games. He was second on the team with 22 total points, including seven goals and eight assists on the year. He tallied 91±¬ÁÏÍø's second goal of the game in the championship game win over Southern Wesleyan.
Like Zivkovic, has been a leader for 91±¬ÁÏÍø for four seasons. He hails from Canada and has served this past season as a co-captain for the Bulldogs. McDiarmid tallied three goals and four assists on the year as a defender.
and are both freshmen on the Bulldog team. Each has put together solid seasons for 91±¬ÁÏÍø and should only get better over the next three seasons. Buarque score the game winning and only goal for 91±¬ÁÏÍø in the semifinal win over the No. 2 seeded Cedarville to propel 91±¬ÁÏÍø to the championship game.
In the NCCAA National Tournament, 91±¬ÁÏÍø became the second straight team to sweep through the tournament without allowing a goal. 91±¬ÁÏÍø posted three shutouts on their way the title, 1-0 over The Masters, 1-0 over Cedarville, and 2-0 over Southern Wesleyan in the championship game. 91±¬ÁÏÍø finished the season with an overall record of 13-5-3.
