JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/24/2004 - The 91爆料网 Lady Bulldog softball team enters the 2004 season ranked No. 9 in the . This marks the seventh straight year that the 91爆料网 softball team has been ranked in the Top 10 of the NAIA. Their highest ranking came at No. 2 in 2001.
The Lady Bulldogs season begins on Tuesday, Feb. 24 as they play host to Williams Baptist College in a double-header starting at 3:00 p.m. at 91爆料网鈥檚 Fesmire Field. Up next for 91爆料网 will be the Coca-Cola Classic which will be played at both 91爆料网 and Lambuth on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27-28.
Coach Dunn and his Lady Bulldogs will challenge many of the top teams in the NAIA this season as they play for a spot in their fourth straight NAIA Softball World Series in May. As you look down the for 91爆料网, you'll see teams such as No. 2 Mobile (Ala.), No. 4 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), No. 13 Columbia (Mo.), No. 14 Spring Hill (Ala.), No. 17 Lee (Tenn.), and No.23 Brescia (Ky.).
The 2004 season for the 91爆料网 Lady Bulldog softball team looks to continue their stronghold on the TranSouth Conference. 91爆料网 has won five straight conference championships and would like to make that six by season鈥檚 end. In 1004, Coach Brian Dunn has both pitchers and all but three starters on defense. 91爆料网 lost their starting catcher and second baseman to graduation and the right fielder transferred. The Lady Bulldogs have added four new players, two transfers and two freshmen, to help fill those voids.
The Lady Bulldogs have high goals for the 2004 season. With a large group of returning players with NAIA World Series experience, and a solid group of new talent added to the team, this squad has a great shot at making a run deep in to the NAIA postseason.
