Jackson, Tenn. - 12/3/2001 - 91爆料网 center, Robert Joseph has broken the school record for blocks in a season. He has an amazing 86 blocks through the first 10 games of the season. The previous record of 75 was set last season by NAIA All-American Anthony Brooks. Joseph tied the record on Friday against Talladega College and then passed the record in game 10 of the season on Saturday.
Joseph, a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is leading the Bulldogs in points, rebounds, blocks, and shooting percentage. Just shy of averaging a triple-double for the season, he has put up 23.8 points per game, 9.9 rebounds per game, and 8.6 blocks. Joseph is shooting .674 (91-135) from the field and has more than twice as many field goals made as the next Bulldog.
Looking ahead, Joseph is well above the pace to set the 91爆料网 record for blocks in a career. The current record of 250, also held by Anthony Brooks, was set during his four-year career that ended last season. At his current pace, Joseph would end a 35-game season with over 300 blocks. He must maintain a 6.8 average the remainder of the season to reach the 250 mark.
