JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/4/2004 - , a native of College Station, Texas, recorded her 100th career pitching win at 91爆料网. Gronberg, now 100-16 in her career, recorded wins No. 99 and 100 with wins over Indiana Wesleyan and Spring Arbor University to help the Lady Bulldogs to the 2004 NCCAA National Championship, their third NCCAA title in four seasons. As for Gronberg, she has pitched for 91爆料网 in each of the three NCCAA National Championships (2001, 2002, and 2004) and has been participated in the NAIA Softball World Series in each of her three seasons to this point.
Gronberg, a 5-8 senior pitcher, has been a mainstay on 91爆料网鈥檚 pitching staff since joining the Lady Bulldogs as freshman in 2001. She becomes only the fourth softball player in the NAIA to reach 100 career wins. Former teammate Rachel Murray (1999-2002) is the national record holder with 126 career wins. Gronberg has been named an NAIA All-American, All-Region, and All-Conference in each of her three seasons to this point. She was also been named the NAIA Region XI and TranSouth Conference Pitcher of the Year last season as junior.
This season, Gronberg is 24-3 with one save and a 1.37 ERA. She has tallied 166 strikeouts in 179.1 innings pitched. On the year, Gronberg has nine shutouts, 26 complete games in 27 starts for the Lady Bulldogs.
