GEORGETOWN, Ky. - 10/8/2004 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldog volleyball team earned one of their biggest wins in school history with a 3-1 (17-30, 30-25, 30-28, 30-27) win over No. 10 Georgetown College (Ky.). 91±¬ÁÏÍø improves to 12-1 on the season with their only loss coming to NCAA Div. II opponent Christian Brothers.
91±¬ÁÏÍø defeated NAIA national power Georgetown for the first time in school history (series 1-4). Georgetown has been ranked above 91±¬ÁÏÍø in the Region XI rankings all season but this should allow 91±¬ÁÏÍø to gain the top spot in next week's rankings. Also, this win could propell 91±¬ÁÏÍø to their highest NAIA national ranking in school history when the rankings are released next Tuesday. The previous highest ranking was No. 17 in this year's pre-season poll.
The Lady Bulldogs will remain on the road on Saturday with a 1:00 pm match in New Albany, Indiana versus Indiana University-Southeast.
