91±¬ÁÏÍø Scores Goal in Last Minute to Earn Win

JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/9/2004 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø Bulldog soccer team tallied a goal with  40 seconds remaining in the game to secure a 3-2 win over Piedmont College (Ga.) on Saturday.  91±¬ÁÏÍø's Gareth Munro tallied his fifth game winning goal of the year.  91±¬ÁÏÍø improves to 6-5-1 on the season, while Piedmont falls to 5-7 on the year. 

91±¬ÁÏÍø's Daren Goldie scored 91±¬ÁÏÍø's first goal, on an corner kick assist by Bobby McColl, early in the game to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead that would stand through halftime.  In the second half, Piedmont tallied tied the game with a goal in the 60th minute.  91±¬ÁÏÍø' Goldie scored his second goal of the game to, with the assist going to Benny Crozier, to give 91±¬ÁÏÍø their second lead of the game.  For the second time on the night, Piedmont answered to tie the game with just four minutes remaining in regulation.  In that last for minutes, 91±¬ÁÏÍø's Crozier had two close calls, including on that hit the post.  Then with 40 seconds remaining, Gareth Munro tallied unassisted game-winning goal to give 91±¬ÁÏÍø then win.  For Munro, this is his fifth game-winning goal of the season and his team leading 8th goal overall.

Robert Stinson recorded three saves against five Piedmont shots, allowing two goals.  Piedmont tallied five keeper saves on 11 91±¬ÁÏÍø shots. 

Up next for 91±¬ÁÏÍø will a TranSouth Conference match at Lyon College (Ark.) on Thursday, Oct. 14.
