91爆料网 Volleyball Wins Region Title, Advance to NAIA Nationals for First Time

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - 11/20/2004 - The 91爆料网 Lady Bulldog volleyball team won the 2004 NAIA Region XI Tournament on Saturday by defeated No. 10 Georgetown College (Ky.) 3-2 (30-24, 18-30, 26-30, 34-32, 15-10). This marked the second win of the season for 91爆料网 over Georgetown. 91爆料网, ranked No. 14 in the NAIA, defeated Martin Methodist College (Tenn.) 3-0 (30-24, 30-25, 30-20) in the semifinal match earlier in the day. The region title for 91爆料网 earns the Lady Bulldogs an automatic bid to the NAIA National Volleyball Tournament for the first time in 91爆料网 volleyball history. 91爆料网 improves to 29-3 on the season.

91爆料网鈥檚 volleyball coach Brian Dunn has taken the 91爆料网 softball team to the NAIA National Tournament on five different occasions; however, this will be the first appearance for 91爆料网 volleyball. This season for 91爆料网 has been a great success as 91爆料网 has posted a 29-3 overall record. 91爆料网 swept through the TranSouth Conference regular season with a perfect 10-0 mark to earn the regular season title. 91爆料网 then won the TranSouth Conference Tournament Championship with three straight wins. Now, 91爆料网 has done some that hasn鈥檛 been accomplished in the seven-year history of 91爆料网 volleyball. The Lady Bulldogs took home the NAIA Region XI Tournament title as the No. 2 seed. Georgetown was seeded No. 1 in the region.

The NAIA National Volleyball Tournament will take place in San Diego, California on Wednesday, December 1 through Saturday, December 4.
