JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/20/2005 - The topped ranked 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs sufferred their first defeat of the season as they fell 74-64 to No. 21 Trevecca Nazarene University (Tenn.). In the men's game, No. 8 Trevecca Nazarene topped the Bulldogs of 91±¬ÁÏÍø, ranked No. 11, 87-65.
In the women's game, 91±¬ÁÏÍø trailed 37-34 at halftime and only took the lead twice during the entire second half. Trevecca Nazarene's biggest lead of the game was 10 points, including the final score of the game. 91±¬ÁÏÍø was led by Stephanie Clark with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Tiffany Fisher and Ena Daniels each added 11 points. Trevecca was paced by Ashlie Gilland with 18 points. Mariska Reed added 15 points, while Jackie Weaver and Julie Machalela added 13 points each. Weaver completed the double-double with 14 rebounds while also tallying six blocks.
Trevecca Nazarene's men proved why they were the No. 8 team as they jumped out to a 48-36 halftime lead and added to it in the second half to win 87-65. Trevecca Nazarene shot 58% from the field including 50% (6-12) from behind the arc. 91±¬ÁÏÍø managed only 43% from the field and 29% (6-21) from behind the arc.
