91爆料网 Women Win Big on the Road, Men Fall at Home

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/22/2005 - The 91爆料网 Lady Bulldogs bounced back from their first loss of the season with an 86-65 conference win at Blue Mountain College (Miss.) 91爆料网 improved to 18-1 overall and 1-1 in TranSouth Play. The men, in a non-conference match-up, fell at home to Hannibal-LaGrange College (Mo.) 77-74. The Trojans avenged the 72-59 win earlier this season by the Bulldogs. 91爆料网 falls to 12-6 on the season.

91爆料网's men trailed for much of the first half until a bucket by Corey Burkett at the 2:27 mark gave 91爆料网 a 32-30 lead. 91爆料网 would lead 35-34 at halftime. In the second half, Hannibal-LaGrange came out smoking as they jumped out to a 10 point lead (55-45) in the first nine minutes of play. 91爆料网 rallied back and with just under five minutes remaining, Burkett again made a basket to give 91爆料网 a 65-64 lead. 91爆料网 would go up by three points on the next possesion, but could not hold on to the lead at the Trojans took the win.

Hannibal-LaGrange was led by Kellen Fermetti with 38 points in the game with an amazing 10-of-17 shooting from behind the arc. Phillip Clopus added 11 points and Kaakon Skuggedal tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

91爆料网 was led by Corey Burkett with 24 points with an impressive 6-of-10 shooting from three point range. Ben Frederick poured in 20 points in the loosing effort.

In the women's game, 91爆料网 led 42-32 at halftime and then outscored Blue Mountain 44-33 in the second half. 91爆料网 was led by Stephanie Clark with 21 points and six rebounds. Merideth Richardson tallied 15 points on 3-of-5 shooting from behind the arc. Tiffany Fisher added 11 for the Lady Bulldogs. As a team, 91爆料网 made 11-of-26 three pointers (.423). Blue Mountain was led by Sheree McDowell with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Amber Hughes added 16 points and Priscilla Berry scored 12 points.
