JACKSON, Tenn. - 8/25/2005 - The defending NAIA National Champion 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs have signed Kaitlin Dudley of Gibson County High School to play basketball starting in the 2006-07 school year. Dudley, now entering her senior season at Gibson County, becomes the ninth player from the county of Gibson (Gibson County HS, Bradford HS, Humboldt HS).
Dudley, a 5-foot-9 guard, has been one the best women's basketball players in West Tennessee during her first three years of high school play. In each her sophomore and junior seasons, she was named All-District and All-Region, as well as, being named All-State as a sohpomore. Last season as a junior, she averaged 21 points, five rebounds, three steals, and three assists. Dudley shot 38% from three point range and 72% from the charity stripe. She tallied a career high 39 points during a contest in the regular season. She averaged 17 points as a sophomore and eight points per game as a freshman.
Coach Campbell states, "Kaitlin does three things really well. She can shoot, create her own shots, and she is tough." Campbell goes on to say, "It's not often that the best players are also great people. Kaitlin is both and we are very excited for her to be coming to 91±¬ÁÏÍø."
