91爆料网鈥檚 Murray Reaches 100th Career Win

Jackson, Tenn. - 3/1/2002 - 91爆料网 softball All-American, Rachel Murray reached the 100 career wins milestone last Saturday as the No. 3 Lady Bulldogs defeated No. 10 McKendree College 2-0. Murray, a native of Herrin, Illinois, is now 101-17 in her career.

Murray, who has just begun her senior year, has won at least 30 games in each of her first three seasons at 91爆料网. She went 33-8 as a freshman, 31-4 as a sophomore, and 34-5 last season as a junior. Murray is currently 3-0 on the season with a 0.00 ERA and has thrown two no-hitters. Murray has a career ERA of 0.62 with 956 strikeouts in over 766 innings pitched. She is most assured to top the 1000 strikeout mark this season. However, Murray does more than just pitch for the Lady Bulldogs. She is also the starting centerfielder when she is not on the mound. Murray has a career batting average of .324.

Last season was an honor filled season for Murray. She helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to the NCCAA National Championship and to a third place finished in the NAIA Softball World Series. She was named the 2001 NAIA Pitcher of the Year, 2001 NCCAA Player of the Year, TranSouth Conference Pitcher of the Year, and was selected as a first team All-American.
