JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/4/2005 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø men's soccer team earned a trip to the TranSouth Conference title game with a 1-0 win over Martin Methodist College in the semifinals this afternoon. 91±¬ÁÏÍø, the second seed in the tournament, improves to 12-1-1 overall, while Martin Methodist falls to 9-4-5. With the win, 91±¬ÁÏÍø assures themselves of at least an at-large bid to next week's NAIA Region XI Tournament in Colubmia, Ky.
91±¬ÁÏÍø scored on a penalty kick goal by Gareth Munro in the 75th minute to give 91±¬ÁÏÍø the lead and eventual win. Robert Stinson recorded three saves for 91±¬ÁÏÍø.
91±¬ÁÏÍø play in their second straight TranSouth Tournament championship game and third overall in school history. A win over Cumberland, the regular season champion, would give 91±¬ÁÏÍø their first ever soccer conference title.
