91±¬ÁÏÍø Continues Unbeaten Season with Win Over No. 5 Master's

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/18/2005 - The NAIA No. 4 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs remained unbeaton on the season at 5-0 with a 79-67 win over No. 5 The Master's College (Calif.) in the second night of the 12th Annual Rotary Classic. The Master's record now falls to 1-1 on the season.

91±¬ÁÏÍø showed a great sign as they won a game in which they shot under 50 percent from the field and just 28 pecent from three point range. A vast difference from the win just one night earlier as they set a record with 18 threes. Both 91±¬ÁÏÍø and The Master's struggled from the field as both teams were under 25 percent from the field in a 7-7 game at the 11-minute mark of the first half. 91±¬ÁÏÍø finally was able to stretch the lead to 13 (30-17) points in the first half, with the help of back-to-back three pointers by sophomore Crystal Eason. However, a very aggressive Master's team went on a 10-0 run to cut the lead to just three (30-27). 91±¬ÁÏÍø scored the next for points to take a 34-27 advangage at the half.

In the second half, 91±¬ÁÏÍø never trailed at they led by as many as 17 points (77-60) with 1:51 left in the game. 91±¬ÁÏÍø shot 32-69 (46 percent) from the field, including just 7-25 (28 percent) from the field.

91±¬ÁÏÍø was paced by freshman standout Josephine Owino who tallied a game-high 31 points, 19 rebounds, and eight blocks. Crystal Eason added 11 points as the only other player in double figures for 91±¬ÁÏÍø.

The Master's was led by Grace Tappe with 16 points followed by Kinsley Mittel with 13 points and Angela Gimeno with 10 points.
