JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/4/2006 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø Bulldog baseball followed an opening day split with another win on Saturday as they topped 91±¬ÁÏÍø College (Ky.) 6-1. 91±¬ÁÏÍø improved to 2-1 on the season, while 91±¬ÁÏÍø College fell to 1-2.
Former Millington High School standout, Zane Adams, started his first collegiate game as a freshman and took a no-hitter into the fifth inning. He earned the win by tossing six innings, allowing just two hits and one unearned run.
91±¬ÁÏÍø recorded eight hits on the day with seven different players recording a hit. The lone senior in the starting lineup, Jeffrey Jackson of Memphis, recorded two hits in three at bats with two RBI. Both of is hits were doubles.
Up next for 91±¬ÁÏÍø will be a trip to Daytona Beach, Florida as the Bulldogs will play a three-game weekend series versus NAIA No. 3 ranked Embry-Riddle University.
