91爆料网's Sellers, Turner Lead Group of Bulldogs on TranSouth All-Conference Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 3/1/2006 - The TranSouth Athletic Conference released the 2005-06 men鈥檚 basketball all-conference team and postseason awards today. 91爆料网 took two of the top four awards, as Kinley Sellars was named Newcomer of the Year, and Ralph Turner the co-Coach of the Year with Lyon鈥檚 Kevin Jenkins. Trevecca鈥檚 Alex Renfroe took Player of the Year and Kristoffer Smith of Freed-Hardeman is the Freshmen of the Year.

Joining Sellers on the TranSouth Conference first team is senior Corey Burkett and junior Ben Frederick. Junior Deywane Lee was named to the second team All-Conference.

Sellers, a 6-foot-5 senior from Cordova, Tennessee, came to the Bulldogs after spending his junior season at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was the Bulldogs second leading scorer, averaging 14.4 points per game. He also chipped in 4.8 rebounds per contest, and he shot 42.4 percent from behind the three-point line.

Turner led the Bulldogs to their second consecutive TranSouth regular season co-championship, with a 25-5 (9-3 in the TranSouth) record. The Bulldogs have been near the top of the 25 poll all season, including a stay in the number one spot after their first of two wins over then top-ranked Mountain State University.
