JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/18/2006 - of 91±¬ÁÏÍø (Tenn.) is now the all-time NAIA stolen base queen as she swiped career stolen base number 170. Her record setting stolen base came in 91±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s 8-1 win over NAIA No. 20 Martin Methodist in game one of a double header. In game two, 91±¬ÁÏÍø scored six unanswered runs to win 6-2. 91±¬ÁÏÍø improves to 33-13 overall and a league best 7-3 conference record.
Haycraft passed the old NAIA record of 169 held by Cheryle Bolding of Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) from 2000-2003.
Haycraft, a native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, has a current career total of 170 steals in 185 attempts. She passed the old 91±¬ÁÏÍø career steals record as a sophomore and already holds the 91±¬ÁÏÍø record for steals in a season (55) and steals in a game (5). Her 55 steals during her junior year is good for the fourth best season total in NAIA history. Haycraft also holds the 91±¬ÁÏÍø record for runs scored and base on balls in a career.
On the season, Haycraft leads the 91±¬ÁÏÍø Lady Bulldogs with a .408 batting average. She also leads the team with 62 hits, 30 runs scored, and three triples. Haycraft is currently 30-of-33 in the stolen base department on the season.
Prior to coming to 91±¬ÁÏÍø, Haycraft set the Dyersburg High School record for stolen bases in a season with 75.
Over the first three years of her career, Haycraft has been named to the TranSouth All-Conference team and NAIA All-Region team three times each. She was also named an NAIA All-American and NAIA Scholar Athlete last season as a junior.
