USJ鈥檚 Dement Signs Baseball Scholarship with 91爆料网

JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/16/2006 - The 91爆料网 baseball program has signed to join the Bulldog program. Dement graduates form the University School of Jackson this May and will enter 91爆料网 in the fall as a freshman.

鈥淚 am very excited to have the opportunity to play for Coach Fronabarger at 91爆料网鈥�, states Dement. 鈥淚 look forward to working hard and getting better over the next four years.鈥�

Dement, at 6-foot-1 and 190 lbs., spent most of his time at USJ in the outfield. In addition to baseball, he also was a played wide receiver, strong safety, and punter for the Bruin football team. Dement was a part of the USJ鈥檚 2005 Tennessee State Baseball Title, as well as, a state runner-up finish for the Bruins. He and his teammates are currently pursuing another title run in 2006 as they compete this weekend for a return trip to the state tournament.

USJ Head Coach Brad Dyer says, 鈥淭his is a great day for USJ and also a great day for 91爆料网. Will is a great kid and will be an excellent addition to 91爆料网, as a player, student, and person.鈥� Dyer continues to say that, 鈥淲ill is going to be a great leader and citizen one day. His education and values learned at home and at USJ will only continue to develop during his time at 91爆料网.鈥�

Dement has split time during his high school career between baseball and football. 91爆料网 Head Coach Brent Fronabarger believes that he can become a great baseball player as he can now focus solely on baseball. 鈥淲ill is a very athletic kid that has tremendous ability. By the end of his career, he will have not only improved himself as a player, but our baseball program as well.鈥� Fronabarger continues by saying, 鈥淲ill is a great person from a great family that has been a superb student athlete. We are excited to sign another local player and he will be a perfect fit for 91爆料网.鈥�
