Jackson, Tenn. - 4/23/2002 - For the past four seasons, the Lady Bulldogs of 91±¬ÁÏÍø have dominated TranSouth Conference softball. 91±¬ÁÏÍø has just clinched their fourth consecutive regualar season championship. One main reason is the fact that 91±¬ÁÏÍø has gone a perfect 42-0 in home conference games during the past four season. The No. 4 Lady Bulldogs are currently 38-5 overall and have a 12-2 conference record with two games to play.
91±¬ÁÏÍø's record in the conference over the four year stretch is an amazing 72-6 record, including a perfect 20-0 in 2000. The Lady Bulldogs have three seniors this season, two of which have played for each of the four years of dominance. 2001 NAIA Pitcher of the Year, Rachel Murray has over 110 career wins and more that 1100 strikeouts for her career. Shortstop, Brandi Park set the 91±¬ÁÏÍø record for runs scored in a season last year with 63. Park transfered in last season from Crowder College. The other four year player for Coach Dunn's Lady Bulldogs is Christina French. French has played ever outfield position for the Lady Bulldogs and hit her career high of .346 in her freshman season.
Also this season, 91±¬ÁÏÍø has just won their fourth straight NCCAA MidEast Region Championship and are the No. 1 seed for this week's NCCAA National Championship. The Lady Bulldogs won this national tournament last season and are poised to become back to back champions.
