91±¬ÁÏÍø Basketball Teams Slip in Polls, But Remain Among Best

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/10/2007 - The 91±¬ÁÏÍø men's and women's basketball teams slipped in the latest NAIA National Rankings, but still remain highly regarded. The Lady Bulldogs, following two road losses to ranked teams, fell from No. 3 to No. 10. The men dropped just one spot from No. 12 to No. 13.

The Lady Bulldogs dropped two games, at No. 8 Cumberland and at No. 14 Trevecca Nazarene this week. 91±¬ÁÏÍø still has a 4-4 record versus teams currently ranked in the NAIA's Top 25. 91±¬ÁÏÍø is 9-4 on the season with three losses to teams in the top-10 (vs. No. 1 Vanguard, No. 3 St. Xavier, and No. 8 Cumberland).

The Bulldogs of 91±¬ÁÏÍø are now 8-4 on the season. They too have struggled on the road as they have a 1-4 record on the road and are perfect 5-0 at home and 2-0 in neutral games. 91±¬ÁÏÍø has played 12 games this season, of the 12 games, 10 of the games have been against teams either ranked or receiving votes in the lastest NAIA rankings. 91±¬ÁÏÍø is 5-1 versus teams ranked in the latest NAIA Top-25.

The teams play two games this week starting Thursday night, January 11 at home versus TranSouth Conference newcomer Mid-Continent University (Ky.). The women play at 6:00 pm with the men to follow at 8:00 pm. 91±¬ÁÏÍø then hits the road again as they travel the short distance to McKenzie, Tennessee to play another conference newcomer, Bethel College. The games start at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 13.
