JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/23/2007 - 91±¬ÁÏÍø Baseball adds another high school standout out to next season’s roster with the signing of . Carter, a native of Steele, Missouri, will enter 91±¬ÁÏÍø this fall at a freshman and will major in Business Administration.
Carter, a 6-foot-2 right handed pitcher/third baseman, joins 91±¬ÁÏÍø after playing four years of baseball at South Pemiscot High School. He helped lead his team to a second place finish in the Missouri 2A State Baseball Playoffs. As a sophomore, he was named All-Conference honorable mentioned. Following his junior year, Carter was named first team All-Conference and was the Bootheel Conference Player of the Year. Carter hit .377 as a junior and also posted a 1.10 ERA in 44 innings pitched with 55 strikeouts. In the fall of his senior year, he tossed a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks. Carter was also voted an SAC Class Officer at South Pemiscot.
