North Side Soccer Standout Inks with 91爆料网

Jackson, Tenn. - 5/7/2002 - The 91爆料网 soccer program signed North Side鈥檚 Jared New for the 2003 season. This is the second local player to sign with the Bulldogs in as many weeks.

Jared New, a 6-1 striker, will give the Bulldogs a boost on the offensive end of the field. So for this season at North Side, New has scored 24 goals and tallied 12 assists in 14 games. New has been a four-year starter in high school and has scored over 65 goals and dished out over 40 assists. He is averaging 1.7 goals per game and 1.2 assists per game in 2002. New set a North Side record when he scored four goals in a game versus South Side. He has been named to the 13AAA all-district team each of his four high school seasons, as well as, Best of the West all-tournament his junior and senior year. New has served as North Side team captain for two seasons.

91爆料网 head coach Dr. Darin White is excited about the addition of New. 鈥淗e is a great student athlete and will have the chance to contribute to 91爆料网鈥檚 success in 2003.鈥� White goes on to say, 鈥淚t鈥檚 nice to have local players on the team and we鈥檝e added two good ones for next season.鈥� The other local signee was Christopher Anthony of JCM.

New has excelled off the field as well, as he is student body president at North Side. He was voted best all around and was also selected as a Wendy鈥檚 High School Heisman Nominee and the JEA Student of the Year.
