91爆料网 Earns TranSouth All-Sports Trophy for Fourth Straight Year

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 6/28/2007 - 91爆料网 has captured the TranSouth Athletic Conference All-Sports Trophy for the fourth consecutive season. Trevecca Nazarene University finished second for the third consecutive season.

For 91爆料网, the 2006-07 year was full of successes. Of the 10 varsity sports at 91爆料网, nine of the teams advanced to at least the region tournament level of their sport. Three of the teams advanced to the national tournaments. The women鈥檚 cross country won their first ever region tournament and advanced to the nationals as a team for the first time in program history. The women鈥檚 basketball won the TranSouth championship for the eighth time in the 11-year history of the conference and advanced to the national tournament for the 18th time. In 2007, the team posted their third straight trip to the final four after winning the national title in back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006. The men鈥檚 basketball team advanced to the national tournament and matched their best finish with a trip to the Elite Eight.

Other highlights of the season saw the women鈥檚 soccer team, in just their second season of varsity competition, advance to the NAIA Region XI Tournament for the first time in program history. The men鈥檚 soccer team also reached a milestone as they climbed the No. 9 spot in the NAIA, the highest ranking in program history.

91爆料网 led the way with a 6.50 average while Trevecca was second with a 6.11 average. Martin Methodist College was third at 5.82, Freed-Hardeman University fourth at 5.44, and Cumberland University rounded out the top five with a 5.17 average. The remaining teams were Bethel College (5.07), Lambuth University (4.22), Lyon College (3.37), Crichton College (3.35), Mid-Continent University (2.58), and Blue Mountain College (2.50). Bethel received an additional bonus point by fielding a team in all 13 official conference sports.

- 91爆料网 won three sport championships on the season (women's basketball, men's and women's cross country) and also boasted a second place and three third place finishes on the season.

The award is based on a point system that awards each school for their finishes in each of the possible 13 sponsored TranSouth sports. Each team earns points for their finishing position, the higher the finish, the more points the school earns. The totals are then divided by the number of sports in which the school participates.
