JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/11/2007 - The TranSouth Athletic Conference released its weekly volleyball honors for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007. Three players from 91±¬ÁÏÍø swept the honors list. Amanda Hutchison Coyle was selected as the Player of the Week, Jennifer Martins was selected as the Setter of the Week, and Cassi Hobbs was selected as the Libero of the Week. The NAIA Region XI honors were also released with 91±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s Hobbs gaining Region Libero of the Week honors.
, a 5-foot-9 junior middle hitter from Jackson, Tenn., helped lead 91±¬ÁÏÍø to a 4-0 week and a Cumberland Invitational Tournament title. 91±¬ÁÏÍø picked up wins over University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), Lindsey Wilson College, Shorter College and King College this week. Hutchison Coyle was named to the all-tournament team and averaged 3.69 kills per game with a .603 kill percentage. She had four aces, 10 solo blocks and six assisted blocks during the week.
, a 5-foot-7 junior setter from Mississouga, Ontario in Canada, helped lead 91±¬ÁÏÍø to a 4-0 week and a Cumberland Invitational Tournament title. 91±¬ÁÏÍø picked up wins over University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), Lindsey Wilson College, Shorter College and King College this week. Martins collected 147 assists, 29 digs and four aces in 13 games.
, a 5- foot-7 junior libero from Tulare, Calif., helped lead 91±¬ÁÏÍø to a 4-0 week and a Cumberland Invitational Tournament title. 91±¬ÁÏÍø picked up wins over University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), Lindsey Wilson College, Shorter College and King College this week. Hobbs was named to the all-tournament team and had 86 digs and eight aces in 13 games played.
91±¬ÁÏÍø hosts three TranSouth matches at home this week starting with area rival Bethel College (Tenn.) on Monday, September 10 at 7:00 pm. 91±¬ÁÏÍø then plays Trevecca Nazarene University (Tenn.) on Tuesday at 7:00 pm, and Mid-Continent University (Ky.) on Friday at 7:00 pm.
