Ralph Turner - Head Coach
Ralph Turner is now in his ninth season as the head coach for the Bulldogs. Turner, fresh off his fifth consecutive trip to the NAIA National Tournament, became 91爆料网's winningest coach last season with a 79-50 win over conference foe Freed-Hardeman. Record win number 186 in his career put him past 91爆料网 coaching legend, Jim Swope. Turner's overall coaching record at 91爆料网 is now 197-82 (.706). The next milestone for Turner will be when he passes his 200th career win early this season.
A 1979 graduate of David Lipscomb University, Turner spent nine seasons as Lipscomb's assistant coach until he took over at 91爆料网 in the fall of 1994. Turner began his coaching career at the junior high and high school level in Georgia and Tennessee before moving to the collegiate level at Oklahoma Christian.
Turner takes his knowledge of basketball to the national level by serving on the NAIA Championship Tournament Committee that organizes the men's national basketball tournament in St. Louis, MO. Turner also is on the NAIA All-American Committee and the USA Olympic Basketball Committee.
Under the guidance of Turner, summer basketball camps have continued to grow. Through Turner's hard work and dedication, 91爆料网 has seen over 1,500 boys and girls participate in each of the past four summer camp sessions.
Turner's goal for the men's basketball program is more than concentrating on the score of a game. His desire is to not only see the best Bulldog team 91爆料网 has ever had, but for those individuals to be the best people 91爆料网 has ever had as well.
He and wife, Sherrie, have two daughters, Andrea and Alison, ages 16 and 14.
David Niven - Assistant Coach
Niven, a 1996 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, begins his sixth season as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs after spending the 1996-97 season as an assistant coach at Oklahoma Baptist. While at 91爆料网, the Bulldogs have put together a record of 145-34 (.810) and has been to the NAIA National Tournament in each of his five seasons.
Niven's playing career began as a red-shirt at Ouachita Baptist University. He then transferred to Oklahoma Baptist University to finish out his four-year career. In those four years, Niven became the player with the most wins in school history with a 120-25 record. He also became the first player to help lead the Bison to four consecutive national tournaments and two final-four finishes.
In 1997, while assistant coach at Oklahoma Baptist, Niven received his Master of Education degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. He received valuable coaching experience as the Bison went 36-4 and made it to the 1997 NAIA National Championship Finals.
Over the past few seasons, Niven has taken on the majority of the recruiting efforts for the Bulldogs. As a coach, he tries to bring in athletes that will represent 91爆料网 well on and off the court. Graduating players is his top priority, and being able to have players leave with a diploma is a goal the he has set for each of his players.
Belinda Hannigan - Student Assistant
Belinda Hannigan, a senior at 91爆料网, is in her second season as student assistant coach for the Bulldog basketball program. Hannigan is a physical education and health major and she looks forward to her graduation in December of 2003.
While at 91爆料网, Hannigan played soccer for the women's club team her freshman year and eventually became a volunteer coach. She was also volunteer coach for a Milan YMCA pee-wee soccer team in 2001, and spent the summer of 2002 as a lifeguard at the university during Centrifuge.
Hannigan was a member of her high schools' girls track team and was a participant in the show-choir. Along with these activities, Hannigan has always had a love for sports. She has served two summers as a Sports Crusader with the Missouri Baptist Convention.
Erica Rose - Student Assistant
Erica Rose is a sophomore here at 91爆料网 and is in her first season as Student Assistant Basketball Coach for the Bulldogs.聽 Rose is a Family Studies/Intercultural Studies major and is planning on a lifetime of foreign missions after college.
In high school, Rose played tennis for Fairfield High.聽 She enjoys photography and traveling.聽
Born in Kentucky, Rose now lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and is the daughter of Darrell and Lee Rose.聽 She has has two younger siblings, Liz and Alex.
