Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Cooper played one semester at Vincennes University and due to an early season injury, sought a medical red-shirt. Cooper was rated the No. 1 point guard as both a high school junior and senior in the state of Georgia. He played his high school basketball at Southeast Whitfield High School in Dalton, Georgia. As a senior, he led his team to a 24-3 record while averaging 19 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and four steals. He was named first team All-State in both his junior and senior seasons and was an honorable mentioned McDonald’s All-American.
