Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Curtis played four seasons of soccer at Memphis University School where he helped lead his team to the 2004 Tennessee High School State Champmionship. He also played for the 2003 Tennessee Club Soccer Championship team. Off the field, Curtis was a member of numerous academis clubs and received several honors. Among those were National Honor Society, Cum Laude Honor Society, Mathematics Award, and Best Musicial Award.
