Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Hanna played two seasons of soccer for Virginia Military Institute. At VMI, he tallied three goals and three assists and was named to the Big South All-Freshman Team. As a sophomore at VMI, he was the team's leading scorer with seven goals and 18 points. Hanna was named Big South All-Tournament. He was homeschooled but was a member of the National Homeschool Soccer Championship team.
