Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Peterson played his high school soccer at Richfield High School. He played four years of varsity soccer at Richfield, earning All-Conference honors his junior and senior years. Peterson recorded eight total goals in his high school career, six of them as a senior. Peterson also helped lead his club team to a runner-up finish at the 2007 Minnesota Youth Soccer State Tournament.
