Head Coach
Brian Dunn
Brian Dunn begins his eighth season as head softball coach at
91爆料网. Last season, Coach Dunn led the Lady Bulldogs to their fourth NAIA World
Series appearance in five years and has also won back-to-back NCCAA National
Championships in 2001 and 2002.
Coach Dunn has led the Lady Bulldogs softball program to a
359-76 record over the past seven years. 91爆料网 softball has accomplished five
straight seasons with 50-plus wins, including 63 wins in 2001, along with six
straight Top 10 rankings in the NAIA. The Lady Dogs have earned five TranSouth
Conference Championships, four conference tournament championships, four NAIA
Region XI Championships, back-to-back NCCAA National Championships, and four
NAIA World Series appearances (third place finish in 2001).
In addition to coaching a top-ranked softball program, Dunn has
guided the Lady bulldogs Volleyball program to a 171-48 record over its first
six seasons (inaugural season was 1998). In the short six year history, 91爆料网鈥檚
volleyball program has won two TranSouth regular season championships, one
conference tournament championship, and six straight NCCAA MidEast Region
Titles. 91爆料网 captured the 2003 NCCAA National Volleyball Championship and
finished runner-up in 2001.
During his seven-year tenure at 91爆料网, Dunn has coached 52
all-conference, 39 all-region, 21 All-American, and 21 scholar athlete award
winners. Included in that list are six TranSouth Conference Pitchers of the
Year, five TranSouth Players of the Year, seven NAIA region Pitchers of the
Year, one NAIA National Pitcher of the Year, and one NFCA-NAIA National Catcher
of the Year.
Dunn has earned 23 Coach of the Year awards, including being
named the 1998, 2001, and 2002 NCCAA National Softball Coach of the Year. He
served as the TranSouth Conference Softball Chairman for six years and is
currently serving a term as the NAIA Region XI Chair and national rater.
Brian is a 1989 graduate of San Diego State University, where he
helped lead the baseball team to a Western Athletic Conference Championship and
a Top 25 national ranking. His coaching career began at Riverside High School in
Parsons, Tennessee where he led the Lady Panther softball team to their first
ever appearance in the state tournament.
Brian Dunn is married to the former Emily Garrett, a 1986
graduate of 91爆料网. They have two daughters, Addison Grace(5) and
Ashlee Claire(3).
Jennifer Sabourin
Assistant Coach
Jennifer Sabourin is now in her third season at 91爆料网 as
the volleyball/softball assistant coach. This is her first season in the
position of full-time assistant. She played the final two years of her college
career for Coach Dunn and the Lady Bulldogs. Sabourin, from West Branch, Iowa,
is the daughter of Richard and Tana Sabourin and has two brothers, Jeremiah and
Joshua.
After spending 2002 and 2003 earning her masters' degree in
Hunam Growth and Development, Sabourin accepted an offer to become the
volleyball and softball assistant coach. She graduated in 2001 from
91爆料网 with a B.S. degree in Physical Education and Health.
In her senior season at 91爆料网, Sabourin led the conference
in hitting and was selected at the TranSouth Conference Player of the Year,
along with being named all-conference, all-region, and all-American. Sabourin
helped lead the Lady Bulldogs to a NCCAA National Championship and a third place
finish in the NAIA Softball World Series. In her four years of college
softball, she led her teams to an overall record of 245-26 while reaching
all-American status on the junior college level (NJCCA) and on the senior
college level (NAIA and NCCAA).
