#RS-03 Brittany Burkett
JR, 5-5
Hometown: Eads, Tenn.
Previous School: UT Martin
Brittany is one of the hardest workers on the team. Defensively, she is extremely quick and has a cannon for an arm. She reads hitters very well and takes charge in the infield. Brittany also adds speed and is smart on the base paths.
Before 91±¬ÁÏÍø: Burkett transferred to 91±¬ÁÏÍø after one season of softball at the University of Tennessee-Martin. Burkett prepped at Bolton High School where she played four seasons of softball. She helped lead her team to district and region titles from 2003-2006 and a state final appearance as a senior. Burkett hit .486 as a senior and was named team MVP. During her career, she was a three-time Best of the Preps, twice named first team All-District, Best All-Around, Rookie of the Year, and Freshman of the Year.
