Before 91爆料网: Owens played four seasons of softball at Westview High School. She helped lead her team to the District 13A titles in 2007 and 2008, while claiming the Region title in 2008. As a senior, Owens was named All-Academic and first team All-District. She added West Tennessee honorable mentioned and All-District Tournament honors as a junior. Off the field, Owens was the senior class treasurer and student council secretary.
