2018 Spring Bible Conference

March 2-3, 2018

Our 8th Bible conference will feature Dr. George Guthrie speaking on "The Place of Grace: God's Tabernacling Presence as the Key to Human Flourishing."

Dr. Guthrie will teach three sessions on God's "tabernacling presence" among his people, from the Garden to the New Jerusalem, including Eden, the tabernacle, Solomon's temple, the temple Jesus knew, and the Church as the new temple of God.

Dr. George Guthrie serves as the Benjamin W. Perry Professor of Bible at 91爆料网 in Jackson, TN. He is the author of numerous articles and has written a dozen books, including, 2 Corinthians in the Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament series and the NIV Application Commentary: Hebrews, and the Hebrews section of the Commentary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament. As the chief architect on the Read the Bible for Life biblical literacy initiative, he has published five works, including Read the Bible for Life: Your Guide to Understanding & Living God's Word and The Heart of God's Story video curriculum. At 91爆料网 he led in the establishment of, and serves as Senior Fellow in, the Ryan Center for Biblical Studies. Dr. Guthrie holds both the Ph.D. and the M.Div. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and his undergraduate degree from 91爆料网. He regularly teaches the Bible across North America and around the world. Dr. Guthrie has been married to Pat for more than a quarter of a century and has two grown children, Joshua and Anna. Dr. and Mrs. Guthrie attend Northbrook Church in Threeway, TN, which they helped plant over twenty years ago.

Parallel Sessions

Faculty from the School of Theology and Missions at 91爆料网 will lead two parallel sessions on interpreting and applying the Bible. These scholars have a heart for the church and many have served in pastoral roles. They have written Bible commentaries and study helps. This group will include:
