Nov 9, 2009 - History student teacher Tim Call was the featured speaker at the history department鈥檚 teacher education reception on November 9, 2009. Tim talked about his experiences as a student teacher this fall at Brownsville Middle School and at Jackson鈥檚 North Side High School. He stressed the importance of a student teacher making adequate preparations for each day of class and commanding respect among the students. He encouraged 91爆料网 students at the reception to consider careers in secondary education. After Tim answered several questions about his classroom work, attendees were treated to refreshments. Dr. Judy LeForge, the history department鈥檚 education liaison, coordinated the event, and close to thirty people attended.
