Feb 27, 2006 - Six 91爆料网 students presented history papers at the 2006 Tennessee Phi Alpha Theta Regional Conference at Lipscomb University in Nashville on February 25, 2006. Jessica Gertig, Cassie Harris, Gayra Jones, Alison Kirk, Jennifer May, and Natalie Treece were 91爆料网's paper presenters, and they attended the conference with Dr. Stephen Carls, the faculty advisor to 91爆料网's Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, and history faculty member Dr. Judy LeForge. Gertig won the best undergraduate paper award in the category of women's history for her study on "Women's Modesty in the South: 1850s - 1930s," and Jennifer May won the undergraduate award in the area of religion in America for her paper about "Lottie Moon: Lodestone for Foreign Missions." The conference luncheon celebrated the 50th anniversary of Lipscomb's Epsilon-Chi chapter (1956-2006) of Phi Alpha Theta; Dr. Jack Tunstall, Phi Alpha Theta's national executive director, spoke about "The Historian as Detective" as the luncheon's featured speaker.
