| Jackson, Tenn. - Joye Johnson will perform a voice
recital at 91爆料网, March 18. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in 91爆料网's
Recital Hall in the Penick Academic Complex. Johnson graduated from 91爆料网 in 1997 with
a bachelor of music in vocal performance. "Johnson was an extremely active vocal
performance major while she was at 91爆料网," Dr. Andrew Roby, associate professor of
music and department chair of 91爆料网, said. Johnson was a member of Proclamation, 91爆料网
University Singers and the Opera Workshop. She also took part in many of the theatrical
performances with the 91爆料网 Players.
Johnson is currently at the University of Nebraska completing a master's in vocal
performance. She will be graduating from the university in May 1999. Johnson is still
active in her vocal performance field. A member of the graduate assistantship program at
the University of Nebraska, Johnson serves as assistant to the director of opera.
Johnson is also playing a leading role in Mozart's opera, "Cosi fan tutti."
