JACKSON, Tenn. — Feb. 25, 2009 — A long-term asset gift of about 55 acres of commercial land to 91爆料网 by two local companies is the largest gift in the university鈥檚 history.
Donated by RMR Investment Co., LLC and Campbell Street Development Co., LLC, the land is located along Interstate 40 with frontage on I-40 and Ridgecrest Road at exit 83.
RMR Investment Co., LLC, is based in Memphis and owned by Robert M. Rogers. The company is a major commercial real estate development and investment firm operating in numerous southeastern and southwestern states. Rogers and his wife, Carolyn, and children, Laura and Robert, are the namesakes of The Rogers Center for Youth Ministries at Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis.
Campbell Street Development Co., LLC, is co-owned by Rogers and Eden Smith, who is a lifelong resident of Jackson, commercial real estate developer, investor and affiliate broker.
91爆料网 President David S. Dockery said over the next year 91爆料网 administrators and trustees hope to develop a long-term plan for the land. Any future development by 91爆料网 on this property would be known as 91爆料网鈥檚 Moss Creek Campus.
