HOMECOMING 2002: 91爆料网 honors long-time Jackson couple and university supporters

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 12, 2002 — Local Jackson couple and alumni Bob and Mary Ruth Hundley were recently awarded 91爆料网鈥檚 Distinguished Service Award at the university鈥檚 annual alumni awards luncheon held during Homecoming.

Robert Little Hundley, a 1948 91爆料网 graduate and Mary Ruth Pearson Hundley, a 1956 91爆料网 graduate, have both remained involved in the university as tireless volunteers, according to Gary Williams, executive director of alumni services at 91爆料网.

After graduation from 91爆料网, both became employed by the Madison County school system serving important roles there. Mary Ruth served as the library instructional supervisor and watched 22 elementary schools break ground in Madison County. Bob Hundley was the federal programs manager of Madison County Schools.

Outside of work in the school system, the Hundleys remain a consistent part of 91爆料网鈥檚 future. Bob serves on the National Alumni Association Board of Directors and Mary Ruth is a member of the 91爆料网 Ladies Auxiliary.

The Distinguished Service Award is based upon service to mankind and/or 91爆料网 by an alumnus/alumna of the University.
