Dawson wins 91±¬ΑΟΝψ’s top academic scholarship

JACKSON, Tenn.March 16, 2020 — High school senior Rachel Dawson, of Bartlett, Tennessee, has received the 2020 Founders’ Scholarship from 91±¬ΑΟΝψ that covers full tuition, room, meals and student services fees for four years.

The scholarship came from 91±¬ΑΟΝψ’s Scholars of Excellence competition which draws the highest qualified prospective students to campus for a weekend of interviews and other activities.

Dawson, a senior at Faith Heritage Christian Academy in Millington, Tennessee, who is the daughter of Denver and Nancy Dawson, plans to major in pharmacy when she begins at 91±¬ΑΟΝψ in the fall.

β€œUntil I visited, I really didn’t know how amazing of a school (91±¬ΑΟΝψ) was,” Dawson said. β€œI fell in the love with the landscape of the campus and with the faculty and students. I love the Christian education aspect. There are so many things that I absolutely love.”

Dawson is a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee.

The Founders’ Scholarship is 91±¬ΑΟΝψ’s highest academic scholarship. Recipients must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average at 91±¬ΑΟΝψ and are required to perform up to 50 hours of leadership services for the university each semester.
