Green to give 10th annual Dockery Lectures March 19

JACKSON, Tenn.March 3, 2026 — Brad Green, professor of theological studies at 91爆料网, will give the 10th annual David and Lanese Dockery Lectures on Baptist Thought and Heritage at 91爆料网 March 19.

The lecture series, named for former 91爆料网 President David S. Dockery and First Lady Lanese Dockery, is an annual event designed to examine the importance of the Baptist heritage, the distinctives of Baptist thought and the influence of the Christian intellectual tradition.

Green is the author of several books, including 鈥淭he Gospel and the Mind: Recovering and Shaping the Intellectual Life鈥 and 鈥淐olin Gunton and the Failure of Augustine: The Theology of Colin Gunton in Light of Augustine.鈥 He also edited and contributed to such works as 鈥淪hapers of Christian Orthodoxy: Engaging with Early and Medieval Theologians鈥 and 鈥淎ugustine of Hippo: His Life and Impact.鈥

He and his wife Dianne have three children and helped co-found Augustine School in Jackson. Green serves on the board of directors at the school and at American Friends of Tyndale House Cambridge.

The theme for Green鈥檚 lectures is 鈥淓ducation, Institutions and the Lordship of Christ.鈥 His 3:30 p.m. lecture is entitled 鈥淩eflections on the Past and Present鈥 and his 6:30 p.m. lecture is entitled 鈥淩eflections on the Present and Future.鈥

Both lectures will be held in the Carl Grant Events Center. They are free and open to the public.
